The cost is still unclear – we will wait for an official confirmation from Blizzard. While the base game is now free, and we get free PvE Halloween events, there’s a chance that the PvE mode will be pay-to-play. It will be interesting to see how this moves the story forward and makes us fall more in love with our favorite heroes.
Plus, this may even bring in a new set of audiences who don’t like to play PvP but are intrigued by these characters. Sorry.Ĭampaign mode will be great for fans who are already invested in the lore of every character. If he’s the main boss we encounter, then I hope he doesn’t…put us in the ground. With the addition of a very angry Ramattra (Leader of Null Sector), the story mode might have gotten more interesting now that he likes to make enemies suffer as he has. And like previous Overwatch Archives events, we may play co-op missions in modified map versions of Rio, Busan, Route 66, etc. Wrath of the Bride was exclusive to Overwatch 2 and a fantastic way to incorporate co-op, challenges, and the Halloween theme.
